Sleigh Lodge 03:52
Your jacket's lyin' on the floor, Nobody's saying anything. The mountain trails, they closed at four, Nobody's saying anything. Standing out, Oh, in the cold outside. Are you alone tonight? What has you torn? Standing out, Don't put up a fight. Oh, come into the light, I'll show you what it means to be warm. (I'll show you!) I don't like the look of sadness, I don't like the look of you. (Change it around.) In a land of wonder, You're draggin' your shoes. (Change it around.) (Oh-ho-oh-ho!) Walk it out, Oh, and I feel just fine. Oh, don't you feel just fine? Walkin' out? Take your time, We're not going nowhere. I see the tears under there. What is all the rain about? Did you think at the end Of the night things would change? You're still alive, And I'm still alive. (Oh-h-h!) If by the time the sun rises And you're still in the shadow, Let me know, I'll be there before you know. In the sleigh! Sleigh lodge! In the sleigh! Sleigh lodge! In the sleigh! Sleigh lodge! In the sleigh! Sleigh lodge!

Hey where’d the time go? Takin’ down the Christmas tree. To grandmother’s house we’ll go. Getting back with the family. Time to go eat some leftovers. Time to share some pleasantries. Just yesterday we went over. Why can’t it just be me? And you. My green eyed girl? You’re my green eyed girl. Whatever happened? Christmas Eve was two nights ago. We spent the night together. It was just you and me so, Why do our families Want to see us so bad. You know they’re full of insanity. It just makes me so mad. But I got you. My green eyed girl. You’re my green eyed girl. Do you remember when? We used to sing Fa la la la la la la la la la la ti da. Fa la la la la la la la la la la ti da. La ti da. So hard to find my way. Around this house in the dark. All of this paper’s in the way. And all these cards by Hallmark. We’ll clean it up tomorrow. At the foot of the bed’s the cat. You’re lying on your pillow. But we don’t worry about all that. Yes you. My green eyed girl. You’re my green eyed girl. Do you remember when? We used to sing Fa la la la la la la la la la la ti da. Fa la la la la la la la la la la ti da. La ti da.

It's 9 o'clock, there's still a line, I just wanna go home, I just wanna go home. It's Christmas Eve, can't you see, Santa should be up in the North pole, yet, You have him stationed in the mall. Overtime Santa, Christmas is real good! Overtime Santa, Christmas needs you! Twenty-five shots of morphine wouldn't make me twitch, I think I've got another holly, jolly, yellow, wintry shift after this. I'm hopped up on Keebler's and chocolate milk, And I'm crying. Don't be offended if you see my leg shake When little Jimmy's on there telling me how much he wants an airplane, An airplane, an airplane. (Woo! An airplane!) Overtime Santa, Christmas is real good! Overtime Santa, Christmas needs you! Overtime Santa, Christmas is real good! Overtime Santa, Christmas needs you!

Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla yellow snow! Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla yellow snow! Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla yellow snow! Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla yellow snow! Ol' Saint Nick was at the door, Cause it was Halloween. Candy for the knocks I couldn't ignore, Cause it was Halloween. And I thought to myself, “No, there's nothing wrong here”, well, Hold onto your beer. (Holdin on'!) And he gripped me by my britches! What in the world are britches?! (I don't know). And he gave me a stare so deep I almost fell! Oh, he threw me in a stocking, And he threw me in the sleigh, And I never thought I'd live to see another day! Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla yellow snow! Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla yellow snow! Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla yellow snow! Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla yellow snow! He asked me for my passport, and I said, “Sorry, Saint Nick, I don't have a passport.” (Rawgh!) It was true, I didn't have a passport at the time, And I still don't. Oh, he kicked me hard in China, And he threw me into Belize! I swear, these stories are hard to believe! (I believe you, man!) Eventually, we made it to the Pole, (Halloween.) It became clear when we passed the reindeer toll, (Halloween.) And I never thought I'd see it, But he slapped a smile across his face, And for the rest of the day we talked about s-p-a-c-e. (Woo, space!) Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla yellow snow! Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla yellow snow! Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla yellow snow! Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla yellow snow! Vanilla yellow- Oh, hey hey, you wanna sing? Sure, go for it! Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla yellow! (Vanilla yellow!) Vanilla [coughs]... Record it. Vanilla yellow! Vanilla yellow! Vanilla [coughs]... Record it.

I stuffed my face into the fridge, A five pound ham was baked, And the mashed potaters were all that was left, Of the family feast from yesterday. Why did it have to end, The food was love and the cheer was great, I'm only here for three weeks at a time, so, I don't care if I'm late. Break out, break out, All the silver and gold, That frame, that frame, Could use mistletoe, I hear, I hear, Us ringin' the bells, We know, we know, This show's gonna sell. (Way-yo!) We are the Festive Follies! (Way-yo!) Everyday's another jolly one! (Way-yo!) We're always back for more! (Way-yo!) We're bringing the party straight to your door! Ooh, oeh, Ooh wah ooh waah, Ooh, oeh, Oooooh, Ooh, oeh, Ooh wah ooh waah, Ooh, oeh, Oooooh. We danced with Santa, ginger ale, Was all the evidence left, And we drew some reindeer tracks on the stairs, Next to the ones that were already there. We perform only once a year, The 26th of December has us here, Where we play our greatest hits in one go, If nobody shows we play for the snow. Look out, look out, I've got a new sled, That house, that house, Could use gingerbread I smell, I smell, Warm cookies and milk, Our gloves, our boots, Are soft like a silk. (Way-yo!) We are the Festive Follies! (Way-yo!) Everyday's another jolly one! (Way-yo!) We're always back for more! (Way-yo!) We're bringing the party straight to your door! (Oooooh!) (Way-yo!) We are the Festive Follies! (Festive Follies!) (Way-yo!) Everyday's another jolly one! (Just another little jolly one!) (Way-yo!) We're always back for more! (Way-yo!) (Ooh!) We're bringing the party straight to your door! Ooh, oeh, Ooh wah ooh waah, Ooh, oeh, Oooooh, Ooh, oeh, Ooh wah ooh waah, Ooh, oeh, Oooooh.

about

The Festive Follies is a winter season featurette and music project, with a band lineup that changes occasionally. We write, record, and perform holiday originals and funny covers for every Dec. 26th (Boxing Day!). The idea behind the band is that the festive spirit of happiness and good giving should continue long after the holiday season.
The band is open to all holidays, although some songs may reference specific traditions. :)
